ADMISSION PROCESS
At Maccure, we understand that admitting your child or yourself to the hospital can be a stressful and overwhelming experience. We are committed to making this process as smooth and easy as possible for you and your family. Here is an overview of our admission process:
Pre-admission:
- Schedule an appointment: If you know in advance that your child will need to be admitted, please contact us to schedule an appointment. This will help us to ensure that a bed is available and that we have all of the necessary information to prepare for your arrival.
- Gather necessary documents: Please bring the following documents with you to your admission appointment:
- Insurance card
- Photo ID
- Physician referral (if required)
- List of current medications
- Medical history
- Immunization records
- Contact your insurance company: Please contact your insurance company to verify your coverage and to obtain any necessary pre-authorization forms.
Admission day:
- Registration: Upon arrival at the hospital, please proceed to the registration desk. You will be asked to provide your insurance information and to sign some admissions paperwork.
- Pre-admission screening: You and your child will then be taken to a preadmission screening area. A nurse will take your vital signs and ask you some questions about your child's medical history.
- Admission to your room: After the pre-admission screening is complete, you will be taken to your room. A nurse will review your child's medical history and answer any questions you may have.
During your stay:
- Medical care: Your child will receive the care they need from a team of experienced and compassionate physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Patient education: We will provide you with information about your child's condition and treatment plan. We will also answer any questions you have about their care.
- Family support: We understand that having a child in the hospital can be a difficult time for families. We offer a variety of support services to help you cope with the stress of hospitalization.
- Discharge planning: We will work with you to develop a discharge plan before your child leaves the hospital. This plan will include instructions for follow-up care and medication management.
